This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Bold Move platform and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using Bold Move, you agree to this AUP.
1. The Purpose of This Policy
Bold Move is a platform for sending real-world gifts — including cakes and other physical items — as a form of professional outreach, relationship-building, or celebration. The platform relies on trust between senders, recipients, Bakery Partners, and Bold Move. This AUP defines what that trust requires and what will cause it to be revoked.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Bold Move to:
- Harass, intimidate, or stalk any individual. Sending a Bold Move to an ex-partner, someone who has asked you to stop contact, or anyone in a personal dispute is strictly prohibited.
- Threaten or coerce any person, including sending gifts as a form of pressure, implied threat, or intimidation.
- Send defamatory, libelous, or slanderous content on a cake message or uploaded artwork.
- Include sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult content on any order — in the printed message, uploaded artwork, or otherwise.
- Include hate speech, discriminatory content, or slurs targeting any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Target minors. Bold Move is exclusively a platform for adult-to-adult professional and personal gifting.
- Infringe intellectual property. Do not upload trademarked logos, copyrighted artwork, sports team logos, or branded imagery without written permission from the rights holder.
- Send to restricted environments including K-12 schools, daycares, hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, prisons, drug rehabilitation centers, or other regulated environments where consumable gifts are prohibited or restricted.
- Send to recipients on the Do-Not-Send list. If a recipient has requested not to receive Bold Moves, you may not use the platform to contact them.
- Misrepresent your identity or the identity of your organization on a cake message or in account registration.
- Use the platform for illegal purposes, including bribery of public officials, election-related gifts in violation of campaign finance law, or regulated political gifts without appropriate compliance review.
- Attempt to circumvent safety features, content review, allergen protocols, or order flow requirements.
- Resell or white-label Bold Move services without a written partnership agreement.
3. Content Standards
All content you submit — including cake messages, uploaded artwork, order notes, and account information — must meet the following standards:
- Must be truthful and not misleading about your identity, your organization, or your intent
- Must not contain content that a reasonable person would find offensive, threatening, or humiliating in a professional context
- Must not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
- Must comply with all applicable laws, including those governing commercial communications
Bold Move reviews all custom messages and uploaded artwork before dispatch. Orders containing prohibited content will be cancelled and the sender's account may be suspended. No refund will be issued for orders cancelled due to AUP violations.
4. Recipient Abuse Reporting
Any person who receives a Bold Move may report it as abusive by scanning the QR code on the allergen card or by emailing hello@getboldmove.com. Three independent reports against a single sender account will trigger an immediate account review. Bold Move will investigate all reports and will cooperate with law enforcement where required.
5. Do-Not-Send Requests
Any recipient may request to be added to Bold Move's Do-Not-Send list by emailing hello@getboldmove.com. Once added, no sender may use Bold Move to send to that individual. Senders who attempt to circumvent the Do-Not-Send list will have their accounts permanently terminated.
6. Enforcement
Bold Move reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to AUP violations, at its sole discretion:
- Cancel an order before or after payment
- Issue or withhold a refund depending on the nature of the violation
- Suspend or permanently terminate a sender account
- Report conduct to law enforcement
- Pursue civil remedies
7. Reporting Violations
To report an AUP violation, email hello@getboldmove.com with a description of the issue and any supporting information. We respond to all reports within 24 hours.
